Heartbreak in Greensburg: Community Mourns the Loss of Anthony Alan May, 32
GREENSBURG, PA — With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, the community of Greensburg mourns the sudden loss of Anthony Alan May, who passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the age of 32.
Born on October 25, 1992, in Mt. Pleasant, Anthony was the beloved son of Jerry and Laura Ann (Long) May. A proud graduate of Connellsville High School’s Class of 2011, he pursued higher education at St. Vincent College, earning a bachelor’s degree in criminology while serving as a four-year starter for the St. Vincent Bearcats football team.
Anthony dedicated his professional life to public service as a Pennsylvania State Parole Officer, a role in which he earned the respect of both colleagues and the community. Beyond his career, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time outdoors and cherishing precious moments with his family.
He is survived by his two beloved sons, Heath Stone and Noa May; his twin brother, Aaron May; his fiancée, Hannah Fox, and her parents, Alan and Wendy Fox; his maternal grandmother, Carol Long; uncles Zane Long Jr., Larry May (wife Georgette), and Keith May (wife Kathy); and numerous cousins.
Anthony was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Zane Long Sr., paternal grandmother Barbara J. May, and his aunt Patricia Basinger.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME LLC, 123 S. 1st St., West Side, Connellsville, on Wednesday from 1–3 PM and 5–7 PM. A service will be held Thursday at 10 AM with Pastor Lee Maley officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Leisenring.
Anthony May leaves behind a legacy of integrity, compassion, and quiet strength. His absence will be felt deeply by all who knew and loved him.
