BLUE MOUNTAIN VILLAGE, ON — A wave of sorrow has swept through the Blue Mountain community following the tragic and untimely death of 22-year-old Ravish Narang, who lost his life in a swimming pool accident on July 17, 2025.
Originally from Moga, Punjab, India, Ravish came to Canada full of ambition and promise. He was pursuing a Diploma in Business Management at Canadore College and was admired by peers and professors alike for his strong work ethic, radiant positivity, and quiet determination. Ravish’s dreams were rooted in hope—hope not just for himself, but for the family he longed to support back home.
His sudden passing has left his loved ones in India devastated, grieving a son and brother from across an ocean. For those who knew Ravish here in Ontario, the shock of his loss is profound. He brought light into every room and carried himself with a sense of purpose that inspired others around him.
In the wake of this tragedy, a fundraiser has been launched to assist with the repatriation of Ravish’s body to his hometown in India, as well as to cover funeral costs and provide much-needed financial relief to his family during this unimaginably painful time.
As the community rallies together to honor his memory, Ravish is being remembered not just for the life he lived, but for the life he was building—one of perseverance, generosity, and quiet courage.
He may be gone far too soon, but the impact of his spirit and his story will not be forgotten.
To support Ravish’s family and the ongoing fundraiser, community members are encouraged to contribute and share his story.
