A 12-year-old Massachusetts boy, Jack Murray, has been remembered as a “magical” and “bright light” after he tragically died in a skiing accident at Cranmore Mountain in New Hampshire on New Year’s Eve.
Jack was skiing on an intermediate trail when he struck a tree, despite wearing a protective helmet. He was found unconscious and rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His family described Jack as a loving, patient, and compassionate person who loved music, playing drums and trombone, and was a budding entrepreneur. He was also an avid soccer player and artist.
A GoFundMe page has been set up in Jack’s memory to support a music program, which his family says would be a wonderful way to honor his life.
The Cranmore Mountain Resort and Conway Police Department have offered their condolences to Jack’s family, describing his death as a “tragic loss.”
