Ed Gale, the actor who brought the horror icon Chucky to life in the 1988 film “Child’s Play” and its 1990 sequel, has passed away at the age of 61. His niece, Kayse Gale, confirmed the news to Fox News Digital and shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook.
In her post, Kayse described her uncle’s journey to stardom, from hitchhiking to California with just $41 and a dream at the age of 20 to landing roles in over 130 movies, TV shows, and commercials. She highlighted his appearances in cult classics like “Howard the Duck” and “Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town,” as well as his work on shows like “Baywatch” and “3rd Rock From the Sun.”
Kayse also shared personal anecdotes about her uncle, revealing that his favorite role was that of “fun uncle” and that he loved sharing stories about his time in Hollywood. Gale’s other notable roles include the baby dinosaur Tasha in “Land of the Lost” and voicing The Mole in “The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle.”
