Mel Gibson Reveals Home Loss in LA Wildfires
Actor Mel Gibson disclosed that his Los Angeles home was destroyed in the recent wildfires while he was away recording a podcast with Joe Rogan.
Gibson described his Malibu property as “completely toasted” and expressed criticism towards California Governor Gavin Newsom’s handling of the crisis.
The LA wildfires have resulted in at least 10 fatalities, thousands of destroyed buildings, and the evacuation of tens of thousands of residents. Several celebrities, including Paris Hilton and Billy Crystal, have also reported losing their homes.
Gibson Criticizes Governor Newsom
Gibson stated that he felt uneasy during his podcast recording, knowing his neighborhood was on fire. He criticized Governor Newsom, saying that despite promises to address forest management, “nothing was done.”

The LA wildfires have consumed 31,000 acres of land, prompting the evacuation of 180,000 people. Five wildfires continue to burn across the LA area, with officials warning of potential further destruction due to strong winds.
