A brazen robbery crew is being sought by New York City authorities after a string of 49 burglaries across the city, resulting in the theft of tens of thousands of dollars in cash and numerous ATMs.
The trio of burglars targeted stores in Upper Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens between September 19 and December 26, according to police. They would steal ATMs, cash, and other goods before fleeing in stolen getaway cars.
Surveillance video released by the NYPD shows two suspects carrying an ATM out of a store. The total amount stolen from the ATMs is unclear, but police reported that $40,000 in cash was stolen in just two robberies in September.
No arrests have been made, and authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information about the suspects. The NYPD has reported a 6% decrease in burglaries citywide compared to the same period in 2023.
