St. Marys, WV — The community of St. Marys is reeling from the devastating loss of Adam Christopher Strimer, 39, who was tragically received into his heavenly home on Monday, June 23, 2025, following a fatal accident. A man of deep faith, compassion, and unwavering devotion to his family, Adam’s passing leaves a void that words can scarcely begin to fill.
Born in 1985 in Parkersburg, WV, to John and Annette Strimer, Adam carried a joyful spirit and an abiding love for the Lord Jesus throughout every chapter of his life. He was a beacon of light to all who knew him, and his kindness and integrity left lasting imprints on countless lives.
A graduate of Parkersburg High School, Adam went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and a Master’s in Safety Management from West Virginia University. It was during graduate school that he met the love of his life, Jenni, and the two built a strong and joyful marriage centered on faith and family.
Together, Adam and Jenni raised three beloved children — Kate (10), Paige (8), and Andrew (6) — teaching them to walk in grace, love, and the joy of the Lord. The family operated a dental practice in St. Marys, and Adam also worked at Axens North America, where he was respected as both a professional and a friend.
In his free time, Adam loved to travel with his family, creating memories filled with laughter and love. A devoted Mountaineers fan, he rarely missed a weekend game during football and basketball season in Morgantown, where he cheered with pride and passion.
Adam’s passing has not only shaken his family but also the churches, schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods he touched with his presence. He is remembered as a man of gentle strength, humility, and infectious warmth — a true servant-hearted soul.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Orpha Strimer and Charles and Mary Bumgarner. He is survived by his devoted wife Jenni, their three children, his parents John and Annette, his brother Luke (Elizabeth), sister-in-law Kelli Henderson, nieces FaeLynn and Esther, nephew Amos, and many extended family members who now carry his legacy forward.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in St. Marys. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, also at Ingram, officiated by Blake Clark of Radius Church and Justin Enoch of Warehouse Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Warehouse Church, P.O. Box 46, Parkersburg, WV.
Adam Strimer’s life was a gift to all who knew him. He lived with purpose, loved deeply, and honored God in every endeavor. His light continues to shine in the lives of his family and the community he so faithfully served.
Rest in peace, Adam. Your life was a testimony of love, and your memory will forever be a blessing.
