Two Teens Charged as Adults in Brutal Stabbing of 14-Year-Old in Washington State
Milo Canales and Hayden Lusebrink, both 17 years old , have been charged with first-degree assault, robbery, and kidnapping in connection with the violent attack on a 14-year-old boy in Snohomish County, Washington.
Alleged Attack
The victim was allegedly lured to Lions Park in Everett, Washington, on December 16, where he was tied to a tree, stabbed at least eight times, and left with severe injuries, including disembowelment. The suspects also allegedly carved the letter “N” into the victim’s chest, referencing the “Norte” or “Norteno” gang.
Investigation and Arrests
The victim managed to escape and seek help from a nearby residence. Canales and Lusebrink were arrested within 24 hours of the incident. Investigators believe the attack was motivated by gang ties and a prior altercation at the victim’s high school.
Bail and Prior Charges
Canales’ bail was set at $1 million, while Lusebrink’s bail was set at $300,000, and he was released on bond. Canales was also facing felony charges for a robbery in Seattle last month but was released on bail earlier this month.
